Arrive there around 4pm,the other shops are closing but violet’s still open, I ordered the milkshake,lemonade,cheese cake and orange cake. All the food is amazing! The cake is smooth like the cream and it has a special flavour,the owner tells me the lemons r planted by themselves! It’s a lovely place and totally worth it!

Had an excellent experience at this cafe. The staff are pleasant and friendly, and provided great service. The scones and cakes are beautifully made and delicious, would 100% anyone who’s looking for high quality afternoon tea and snacks at Mount Dandenong
Stopped in for a treat and chose to share a slice of cake, it was delicious! The cafe is cute and the staff (assuming owners) were very nice.
Cake!!! We were visiting Dandenong area and we felt like cakes and coffee. But most if place were closing or closed already. I think it was like 3 pm. This place was open! I had best baked cheese cake!!! I could not fault it ! It was sooooooo delicious! Perfect! My wife had brownie and it was light and moist and also perfect! Not over sweetened like others! There were more different cakes there and we will be back trying them all. But I want to eat that cheese cake again! Thank you so much!
Violet's is a charming, old-fashioned cafe serving primarily tea and cakes. We ordered the scones and a slice of basque cheesecake. Both were excellent, as was the coffee to go with it. Service was friendly and quick. Tables were comfortably spaced and interior noise levels were pleasant. Just up the road is the Miss Marples tea room, which in the eyes of many is a tourist trap with high prices and poor service. Do yourself a favour and come down to Violet's instead. You'll probably have a more pleasant experience, and you'll be supporting a business that is trying to do the right thing by its customers.
Very cozy and warm place. Owner couple was super sweet and gave well explanations everything regarding foods and spaces. We had cauliflower and broccoli soup, vegetable and ham toasties and cheesecake. Soup was just perfect! We wanted to bring the pot itself Thank you for warm welcoming and lovely foods. Beautiful scones- texture and taste. We asked for a bit more cream- generously given. Very friendly and smiley to my little boys.
